If you work for a company that offers health insurance, you may want to consider adding a few extra days to your vacation.
That's according to 18 business leaders from the Forbes Business Council who say employers should "getty the health of an employer's workforce and the success of a business go hand-in-hand."
Here are their top tips for employers: Offer mental health and physical health benefits: "Besides health insurance benefits, leaders need to be supportive when family and employee health issues arise," says Peter Ross, a member of the council.
"An added benefit is creating loyalty for years to come."
Encourage healthy habits: "If you don't focus on promoting healthy habits, well-being only individuals, but also creates more resilient workforces to introduce a variety of leaves that go beyond the status quo and encompass potential situations that may arise," says Jo Stephens, a member of the council.
