An Indiana recycling center is getting $26,861 thanks to a grant from the state.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management awarded $54, 245 grants to 15 recycling centers across the state, WTWO reports.
"Historically these grants have provided new equipment for recycling operators and improved local collection programs," IDEM Commissioner Brian Rockensuess says in a press release.
Among the recipients: the Indianapolis Museum of Art, $100,000; the city of Nappanee, $100,000; the Clark County Solid Waste Management District, $12,173; theFloyd County Solid Waste Management District, $68,667; the Johnson County Soil and Water Conservation District, $34,793; and the Porter County Recycling District, $22,954.
