"Wellness is more than just having a healthy body.
It's about having a healthy mind, soul, and spirit."
That's the takeaway from Global Healthcare Resources' report on the evolution of employee wellness programs, which it says has "transcended traditional health benefits to encompass a broader spectrum of holistic well-being initiatives."
These include things like mental health support, access to mental health professionals, digital mental health platforms offering therapy and counseling services, and initiatives to reduce workplace stress and burnout.
The report also notes that companies are increasingly focusing on preventative care, including regular health screenings, vaccination clinics, and wellness challenges that encourage healthy behaviors.
"By prioritizing mental health, companies are not only enhancing their employees' well-being but also reducing absenteeism and improving productivity," Global Healthcare Resources says in its report.
