The 14th annual Hawai'i Food & Wine Festival is scheduled to take place in October, and in addition to food and wine, festival-goers will get a chance to support local farmers, fishermen, and agricultural education for children.
This year's festival will take place from Oct.
18 to Nov.
3, and tickets are on sale now, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports.
The money raised from ticket sales goes toward supporting the farmers, ranchers, and fishermen in the area, as well as investing in up-and-coming chef talent at local culinary colleges.
The University of Hawai'i Maui College's culinary arts program was one of 14 beneficiaries of a $195,300 donation from the festival's founder, the Hawai'i Ag & Culinary Alliance, per the Star-Advertiser.
